Aoraki (Mt. Cook)

“At 3,724m, Mt. Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand. We stayed at The Hermitage in the village nestled in the valley at 750m in altitude. It is here where Sir Edmund Hillary and, much later, Lady Nicole honed their mountaineering skills. We took the easier 3 hour Hooker Valley Track in overcast conditions. But on the morning we were leaving we witnessed the most spectacular sunrise!
