In November, 2024, we spent three weeks in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, to embrace the incredible culture, smells and sights that India conjures. It did not disappoint! Starting in New Delhi and staying at one of the finest hotels, we quickly learned what we perhaps feared about India - the massive disparity between rich and poor. I coined the phrase “Splendour and Squalor, often, just blocks apart”. This should not deter anyone from visiting. It is what it is and it is real … and mostly magnificent!
