Lugano - Luzern-Zurich

From St. Moritz, we take the Bernina Express to Tirano which is actually in Italy and then by bus to Lugano via the shores of Lake Como. A brief overnight in Lugano and we are on the Gotthard Panorama Express to Luzern via train to Flüelen, a boat on Lake Luzern and back on a train to Zurich. The whole trip has been a dream.

This entire train trip has been on schedule, monitored by the ubiquitous MOBAtime Railway clocks which are installed in every train station in Switzerland and all synchronized from a central clock. The red second hand, shaped like baton, is used by rail staff to signal trains to leave as in Switzerland trains always leave the station on the full minute!
